Our latest management pack releases include new functionality that moves them up to the latest security standards with TLS 1.2/SHA256 as the new normal for your deployment. It also includes behind the scenes functionality of accessing our licensing service whether it be from the console or Service Manager portal in a more secure fashion. But to achieve these new standards it will require management pack upgrades across the board.

That’s why our security release brings with it one more feature – convenience! Our brand new Console App Installer offers SCSM administrators a new streamlined upgrade experience showing them which MPs need upgrades and instantly deploying them into Service Manager.
All you need to do is enter the name of your Primary SCSM Management/Workflow Server to upgrade. The Console App Installer will handle all workflow and cache flushes for you to get you on the latest versions.
Don’t forget though – workflow based management packs will be moved to a disabled state upon their upgrade. So make sure to go back and get things like Notify Analyst, Auto Close, and Asset Management enabled once more.
