With 2018 around the corner, we’ve been sharing information with customers and the community about the roadmap of both Cireson products as well as Microsoft System Center, specifically Service Manager and Configuration Manager.
It’s great to see all the enhancements and excitement around Configuration Manager, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The global community of Configuration Manager users continues to grow, with the number of monthly active users increasing by over 1 million devices every week!
On the heels of this anniversary, Microsoft recently published updates on Service Manager, giving the community a glimpse into what is in store as we head into the New Year.
In a Microsoft TechNet blog post, Chris Howie, Microsoft Senior PFE, addressed the future of Microsoft Service Manager and other, products, saying, “System Center Service Manager and Orchestrator are still being developed and are part of this new release cycle along with the rest of System Center. Some semi-annual updates will only have fixes and some will have additional functionality. The features that get added to the entire suite each cycle will depend on customer demand and will be prioritized as such. The products which receive enhancements will likely vary each time. All products are therefore still fully supported.”
As a certified Microsoft Gold Partner, we’re actively working with Microsoft to help provide feedback for new enhancements to Service Manager. You can join the conversation by submitting your suggestions and feedback directly to Microsoft, here.
