Today, Cireson announces the winner of the inaugural Innovator Award for Microsoft System Center Service Manager – Dave Maseman, Desktop Manager of Duff & Phelps, based in Chicago, IL. After receiving a huge influx of submissions with an astounding amount of community innovation, Cireson is excited to recognize Duff & Phelps for their creativity and vision in delivering automation and organizational best practices within the Cireson Portal while also reducing their carbon footprint.

Duff & Phelps realized the need to convert paper documents to PDF docs for long term digital storage and to save on legacy paper storage costs.  Automation as well as a recorded process for easy end user use was needed, so Dave Maseman created a request offering in Service Manager for users that was accessible via the Cireson Portal. Commenting on his innovation, Maseman reveals, “When Duff & Phelps first started testing Microsoft Service Manager for our firm, one of the areas that gave us pause was the out-of-the-box customer portal.  After researching different options, we discovered the Cireson Portal solution and all the various apps and add-ins that make up their entire solution.  Cireson’s platform eased our transition from our previous help desk ticketing system and greatly increased the user acceptance of our new help desk solution.  Creating this new request offering simply added a great functionality to the flexible Cireson Portal.”

This award was based on dedication and ingenuity of driving the Microsoft Service Manager product through novel and creative ideas applied in unique ways. Cireson wanted to see how organizations across the globe were solving real world IT & business challenges and Duff & Phelps proved they were up to the task.

Dave Maseman will present his innovation to the community on Thursday, October 8, at Cireson’s inaugural conference, Innovate 15 in San Diego

Cireson would also like to recognize Jerry Veldhuis of Stantec, Shayne Ray of Australian Rail Track Corporation, Huw Michael from Royal Holloway University of London, and Matthias Theobald of Wittenstein for their notably outstanding submissions.

While the contest has drawn to a close, Cireson hopes to continually inspire and recognize creativity and innovation in the service management space, highlighting individuals in the community who are paving the way for the future of IT.
